I know that it is normally quite boring to look at other people’s travel photographs. Travel is such a personal thing. What one saw and experienced on their trip is awesome but it is hard to get that excited when it is not your who was on a jet plane and saw it all first-hand. I will try to not bore you with too many images from my trip but I do want to share some. I also have a more personal blog where I will be posting more detailed parts of my trip. If you are interested, the link is here . I have already done one post there about the Melbourne Cup (one of my newest favourite things!).
My trip to Australia had me fly to Melbourne and spend a few days there. We then flew up to Brisbane, visited Katie + Pearl (see the Tea Time blog post!), rented a car and drove from Noosa to Sydney. Then a short flight back to Melbourne and my last couple of days were spent there.
Melbourne + Sydney are both great cities. I loved them. Melbourne was comparable to Montreal – great shopping and awesome cafes. Sydney was more comparable to Toronto – um, except that their harbour is way more awesome than ours! Here are some images of the two cities. The image of the Sydney Opera House above looks lovely until I tell you that what appears to be birds flying above, are actually Flying Foxes!![]()

Found my first bride & groom in Melbourne and yes, I had to take a couple of photos. And to my brides and grooms: I promise to never shoot you from below like the photographer is doing in the second photo (unless you tell me to!). Photographing people from below = unflattering.![]()
