Li’l K at the Cod

Over the long weekend we went to my Mom’s paradise of a house out in the country. Since her house is currently for sale, I was dying to do some portraits in her barns. What a better opportunity than to photograph my niece, Li’l K, in her party dress! Now, photographing 3 1/2 year olds is not always the easiest (even when they’re family!). We had one meltdown when she suddenly bolted off, ran across the lawn into the house and hid on my Mom’s bed. But after some negotiating, she decided that photos are important and she agreed to be photographed. I love photographing kids, especially when they let their personalities shine.

Gillie Bean is having a baby!

My Gillie Bean is having a baby! Gillian and I have been great friends since back in high school when we both played first alto saxophone together. We were nerds but we didn’t care. Gillian is one of the most caring and loving people that I know. Anytime that there is a big event in my life, she is there in a second. Although we do not get to see each other nearly enough, we always know that the other is there. I miss her lots, especially during this awesome time of her pregnancy. Luckily, we were able to get together at my Mom’s house on the long weekend to do a mini portrait session. This wee one will be showing his or her little face in a mere three weeks. I cannot wait! Love you, Beaner!

Courtney + Adam Are Married!

Courtney + Adam are married! The got married on a sunny Saturday in March at the lovely Old Mill in Toronto. They opted to do the bulk of their formal portraits before the ceremony to take advantage of daylight and just to make the day more relaxing. I love doing this! After the ceremony we then took Courtney + Adam on their own for come “quiet time” and did some more portraits. Courtney + Adam were not afraid to let their personalities show while doing the photographs – I love their very amazing “model” poses that they learned from watching “Next Top Model” – ha! Congratulations Courtney + Adam
